Irena Übler (Munich, 1985) is an industrial designer, Austro-German, Master in Industrial Design at the University of Applied Sciences FH Joanneum Graz in Austria (2006-2010), investigates the city and its cultural content, is interested in discovering new territories and ways to develop the creative soul of the urban environment. Irena develops creative work in the area of product design, design thinking and urban culture. She has been working with sustainable and local materials and explores the world of plastic waste as a precious raw material. Founder of the modular furniture brand in cork COMO. She is part of the Precious Plastic Portugal team as an industrial designer and trainer.
Mário Ferreira da Silva
Mário Ferreira da Silva is a successful professional, who during his professional career always crossed the paths of the arts with his taste for management.
Due to his long curriculum and vast experience in the market, he is currently executive director of the Lehmann + Silva gallery. Founded by Frederick Lehmann and Mário Ferreira da Silva, the contemporary art gallery Lehmann Silva, representing Portuguese and foreign artists. It opened in November 2017 in Bonfim / Porto.
The gallery represents several artists, such as Joana da Conceição, Richie Culver, João Gabriel, Ramiro Guerreiro, Dayana Lucas, Josep Maynou, Alice Morey, Diana Policarpo and Lorenzo Sandoval.

Luís is a computer scientist and enjoys unifying his vast experience in leadership, business activities and sponsored innovation through IT. In the last 25 years he has been fully engaged in the leadership of IT companies and R&D initiatives either as a founder, entrepreneur or external consultant.
His career has included top-level executive positions in companies across several business and expertise domains – telecommunications, healthcare systems, business intelligence and knowledge management, data quality, customer relationship management, software engineering, software architecture and design, product conception and development.
At academia, he has been teaching computer science at University of Minho and is author and co-author of several publications and papers. As a member of INESC, he was the leader of the Portuguese participation in 3 major R&D European projects. At the moment, he is applying his experience and networking at Porto Tech Hub. He is his also putting all his knowledge and passion for education at ENSICO.
Patricia Soares da Costa
Patricia Soares da Costa, a trilingual consultant on branding, communication and tourism who travelled to more countries (51) than years of age. A globetrotter fire starter as CEO of Marquinista – the locomotive of brands, working as an advisor to corporations, governments, startups and creative agencies on branding, perception and reputation matters.
She is a mentor, Entrepreneur in Residence and keynote speaker in international startup programs such as the European Innovation Academy (Portugal), Arab Innovation Academy (Qatar), Swiss Entrepreneurship Program (Albania, Bosnia, Serbia), the Business Ignition Programme from Universidade do Porto, and Tourism Explorers from Turismo de Portugal. She thrives to identify the elements that truly support the appeal of a destination or brand, and to define unique strategies geared to further the economic and social development, empowering communities, generating awareness and aligning perceptions.
She likes to play at home: founded PortoForward and #smartelada to promote Porto and the Northern Region, to attract visitors and internationalize its biggest street party: São João. And she likes to play away: accumulate passport stamps and accept air miles as paychecks.
Ricardo Valente is City Councilor for Economy, Tourism and Commerce and City Councilor for European Funds. He is in charge of InvestPorto (Investment Attraction Division) and Porto Convention & Visitors Bureau (for tourism development and external promotion). He is also a non-executive board member of Porto Vivo – Porto Urban Rehabilitation Society.
Mr. Valente is also a professor at the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto and at PBS – Porto Business School.
From 1992 to 2016, Mr. Valente worked in risk management consulting, capital markets (as director and board member of brokerage firms), asset management (as CEO of one of the largest independent asset management firms in Portugal), investment banking (as member of the board of a bank), and was also an investment consultant.
Mr. Valente has a Master’s degree in finance and a MBA in finance from the Catholic University of Lisbon, and a degree in Economics from the University of Porto. Mr. Valente is the author of several books on risk management.
Tauan Bernardo is a Designer, Maker and Educator. Co-founder of Garagem Fablab, the first Independent Fablab in Brazil, and Vivalab, a Fablab focused on Education, Design and Environment in Porto, Portugal.
He has been working for 13 years developing tech-based project and mentoring startups on entrepreneurship, design, prototyping and innovation. He taught at Istituto Europeu de Design – SP and Porto Design Factory on Digital Manufacturing and the Maker Movement.
Passionate about technology, he seeks to understand how it alters the power relations between society’s actors. He advocates that emancipatory technologies can be the key to the future of Education, work, the environment and more resilient communities.
